BYOBBQ Dinner and a Movie Night
5:30 pm: Arrive and begin tossing stuff on the grill. I’ll keep it just a bit hotter than medium. That’s enough to cook half a salmon in about 7 min, a burger in about 9, a thick steak in about 10-12, and chicken in about 12-15. 6:00 pm: Dinner is SERVED!!! BYOBBQ – Bring Your Own BBQ: burgers, beef, fish, or Barnvelder (it’s a breed of chicken) but any old breed will do. 🙂 Steve is supplying condiments (TWO (2) kinds of BBQ sauce, ketsup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes), the propane and the grill. Everyone else needs to bring their own BBQ and a side dish: Side dish 1: Erik has stepped forward! But he’s being secretive about what he’s going to bring… Side dish 2: Scotty’s bringing a rice dish. Side dish 3: Anyone? Dessert: Buehler? 7:00: The Movie Begins!
Dinner and a Movie Night – REDECORATING (it’s my excuse, not a movie title)
REDECORATING – Great excuse for another Dinner and a Movie Night! Or is it the other way around? No new furniture, but the carpets have been freshly cleaning, the living room has been completely rearranged, and I have my sound system wired the way it should be — for full surround sound! 5:30 pm: Arrive 6:00 pm: Eat! Spaghetti Bolognesa — seems to be the group’s favorite, but if you’d like to BBQ, we can do that, too. Let me know at our May 11 meeting. 🙂 We need volunteers for the following items: Salad Garlic bread Vegetable dish; Something cooked is preferred over a vegetable tray. Could be green beans casserole, potatoes au gratin, etc. Dessert 7:00: The Movie Begins! 10:00: The movie should have ended by now…

Potluck Dinner and a Movie Night! At Steve’s, NOT Agia Sophia
Yeah! No homework! Dinner and a Movie Nights are always fun. 🙂 5:30 pm: Begin arriving. 6:00 pm: Start eating. 7:00: The Movie Begins! (Title TBD – we’ll select it in group) I’ll be making my famous spaghetti bolognesa, but as this is a potluck, please bring alternative main and side dishes. Leftovers return home with their owners. We do need someone to commit to bringing a loaf of french bread, another to bring a head of lettuce, and another to bring a couple of tomatoes and a cucumber for the salad. Please arrive early so we have time to make/bake it.
